FAQ

    • Who needs a waiver?
      • Everyone entering the facility must have a waiver on file.
      • Minors under the age of 18 MUST HAVE THEIR WAIVER FILLED OUT AND SIGNED BY A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN. Friends, siblings, and other relatives that are not legal guardians may not fill out a waiver for a minor.
      • A waiver is good for at least a year.
    • What is a Day Pass?
      • Our Day Passes enable access to most of the facility depending on age, and are good for the entire day. That means you may leave the facility, grab lunch, and return for no additional charge as long as it is on the same day.
    • Who can climb?
      • We encourage anyone willing to try climbing to do so.
      • Children 3yrs and under are free of charge, discluding rental equipment.
      • Children must be properly fitted into a harness to be allowed to climb on the ropes.
      • It is recommended that children under 7yrs of age have a parent spotting while they are bouldering.
      • We have terrain appropriate for all skill levels and age ranges.
      • Children 14 and up may belay as long as they are approved to do so by an LEF staff member.
    • Can I drop my child off?
      • Children under the age of 14 must be supervised by an adult during their visit and thus cannot be dropped off.
      • Children under 14 may only be dropped off while participating in our youth programs.
    • Best time to visit
      • Early afternoon hours during the week are the quietest time to visit, but you are welcome to walk in any time during regular business hours.
      • We also offer Intro to Climbing classes monthly. The schedule can be found HERE.
    • Appointments
      • Appointments are only required for groups greater than 15 in size, birthday parties, and special events. Otherwise, we should be able to accommodate you on a walk-in basis.
    • Belay lessons and checks
      • Anyone wanting to belay must be at least 14yrs in age and pass a belay check by an LEF staff member.
      • Belay lessons and checks are typically available two hours after opening until two hours before closing, but are subject to wait times.
    • Equipment and apparel
      • Rental – We offer rental shoes, harnesses, and belay devices. We do not supply chalk.
      • Chalk – Chalk must be contained in a chalk bag. We discourage the use of loose chalk for the health of our customers.
      • Personal equipment – You are welcome to use your own equipment. Your equipment is your responsibility alone and you do not hold us accountable for loss, theft, defects, or overuse.
      • Appropriate apparel – Since our walls are abrasive, we recommend long shirts and pants that are loose or stretchy. We require that all patrons wear a shirt and shoes while in the facility.
    • Storing belongings
      • We have lockers available for day use in which to store your valuables. You must supply a lock. Only EFT customers may store their belongings overnight. If you abandon your items, we hold the right to cut off locks and dispose of belongings.
    • Food and drink
      • Food and drink is permitted in the facility. We ask that patrons wash their hands after eating and before climbing.
    • Payment
      • We accept all major credit cards as well as cash. Personal checks are not accepted.
